what cable is this?

I think it came with my old PVR-150. Is it the ir blaster cable or the remote receiver? I've never used either, but am going to have to start using a STB. Googling for a picture is mostly resulting in a two-headed cable with this attachment and one other, that seems to be a receiver and a transmitter, so I'm not sure which one mine is.



If it's not the IR blaster one, I assume I lost it. Can I just order one from somewhere? Do I need a specific kind, or would any old cable off amazon that says it's an IR blaster or whatever work?

I'd test it out, but I don't have the box yet, and the one tv I still own doesn't work with any remote. Anyway, I'd like to minimize my downtime by ordering a cable in advance if I'm going to need it. Thanks in advance.

Looks like the receiver to me - at least the 3 I have all look like that. I dont have a blaster so no idea if they look similar though.

If you look here http://www.snapstream.com/store/EnlargeP...laster.asp you can see what the blaster looks like. You will also see a similar receiver to the one your holding. Notice this one has both to one plug, which yours does not. I do not know if your card does blasting. You may need to get more specific with some numbers off the card in tha hauppauge forum.

Looks exactly like the IR remote receiver from my Hauppauge Nexus (sat tv). Right down to the 2 dots below the circle on the face (and probably 2 dots in the circle on the backside too ?).
Maybe your 150 came with separate receiver and sender heads ?

Yep, mine is for a 1600, and it does not have the 2 dots. So thats how you tell the difference!
