Haupage remote or Universal remote with Usbuirt?

I have a PVR 150 with cable box being controlled by a UsbUiart. The only two external infrared signals I need in addition are TV on/off and Volume control of the external audio amplifier. Is there a way of configuring USBUIRT to reinterpret the volume and on/off button for the Hauppauge remote or do I have to go to a universal remote?

I didn't quite understand your problem, but have a look at HIP, it can learn almost any remote controller.

Yeah, and HIP should be able to send the same IR command back out again through your usbuirt, to control your amp /TV (I assume thats what you want to do?)

You will have to have a blaster emitter over the TV & amp - you can use the zone fuction of usbuirt to do this - but maybe you will have to use the commandline UBSUIRT program rather than the built in GBPVR one.

(you have to ask the guy at USBUIRT.com to get the program)
