The Zune 4.0 software has become my favourite music management software. Unfortunately I'm fairly sure that this is probably almost impossible to integrate with GBPVR. I still use the default "Music Library" in GBPVR if I'm just playing albums, but when I want a jukebox I exit and start Zune 4.0.

"If you're tired of online music buying feeling more like a bank statement than a record store, you're in the right place. Zune 4.0 software is free, beautiful, and browsable." Hmm, wonder what other software they might be referencing!! Big Grin

I've looked at Zune and while it's very nice for an online music service, I'll never get it playing through my MVP's and they're what feeds the music system. Smile

Could it be some dll which is used to read the tags? Same thing on a clean install.

Very strange, since the language file takes care of the skins, the tags should only be showing what you have typed in there. I'm sure there's a logical reason for that but it's a bit beyond me I'm afraid. At any rate I'm glad you got it sorted, or at least figured out what the problem was.

Thinking about it, it just occured to me that there is another mystry. Your screen shot shows the song playing but what is showing is the title meaning the filename, as opposed to the tagged title of the song. The only thing I can think of is if it can't find a tag there must be something in the dll that has it show the filename instead.

Any Idea why "Skip Forward – Skips the currently playing track and starts another or the next queued song." does not work on the Hauppauge 45 button remote?

Another thing I thought of was if pressing "Ok" would not only select a song, but also un-select (in case of fat thumbs). Smile

Not that any of that couldn't be put into it, it's just not there now and all features have a cost in overhead. We initially talked about the un-select but as was explained to me that involves more than you would think making the plug-in quite a bit larger and slower. It would not only involve commands and button presses to un-select but right now there is no code in the plug in to allow scrolling up and down the queued list.

There is no skip forward in the plug-in either. The thought was to keep it as lean as was possible so skipping forward and back in a song were never put in. The only skip function is to skip the currently playing track and go to the next, as you've found out. Wink

We had a lot of talk during the concept of this plug-in, all kinds of suggestions from searches to playlists to FF and RW. We decided that there were all kinds of music players that did all that and were approaching bloatware. We wanted this to be small, and fast. I have in excess of 250gigs of mp3's and most music players choke on the size while loading the library. After a lot of talk we decided to keep this small and light and leave all the big time features to the rest and just let this play music. Considering how long I've been using this and how distraught I was when I thought it wouldn't work in GBpvr's new version, it was a good choice I think.

Jeeze - I thought my collection was pretty big at 90GB. However, it does load 14,000 tracks from a network share over a 100mbps connection in about 5 seconds. The only real problem I have with it is that if it loses the focus (MLPanel screensaver kicks in), it dies until I give it back the focus...

I have the screensaver disabled because the same thing happens to me. It should continue playing until the queued list finishes playing and then stop. It's a great little player but it has a few problems that need to be addressed at some point. It is not operable from a touchscreen being one of them. It was written to be operated through the MVP's so a few things were not incorperated.

On my Hauppauge 45 button remote it uses the >| key instead of the >> key. I'm not sure why, it just ended up there. Smile
