Gentlemen,
Thanks to you all - I'm almost there. Reinstalling WMP and the K-Lite Codec pack helped, but I think there's still one piece missing, and I've managed to distill it down to the "Runs on Second Monitor" option in the configuration.
When I have it Run in Window, it comes up on my main monitor fine, and I can drag it to my second monitor (I have "extended the desktop" to include the TV screen), and it will still run find, windowed. If I disable the Run in Window option, it comes up fine, fullscreen, on my computer screen.
However, if Run in Window is disabled, and I check Run on Second Monitor, then after PVRX2 starts up, it doesn't go anywhere, and seems to hang. I don't think it's trying to run on some non-existent third monitor, because my normal blind trick of Esc-Esc-UpArrow-Enter(repeat) doesn't get me out of it.
I have now (confirmed) that hardware acceleration is disabled for the video card that is outputting to the TV screen - any suggestions I could try?
Thanking you very much in advance,
Daniel
