Hi all. So here's the thing:

I have Verizon FIOS, so I need a STB to get ANY cable channel.

My plan is to get a Hauppauge 1250 and connect my STB to it via s-video. This will be to record SD. I will then get an antenna for the coax input on the Hauppauge 1250 and use it to record OTA HD. I hope to be able to record both SD and HD at the same time. Is this even possible?

Also, when I connect my STB to the Hauppauge 1250 via s-video, will GBPVR be able to get the tv guide data (when shows are airing)? This is, obviously, vital to be able to schedule recordings.

I'm fairly sure you cant only do one at a time.

Please note - the HVR-1250 does not have a hardware encoder so not supported for analog with GB-PVR. It will however be able to do OTA ATSC.

Regardless of what card you end up using, in north america you need to use either xmltv or the schedules direct service to supply GB-PVR the tv guide data.
