Audio without video (Windows 7)

The tuning tool is only for the analogue signal.

What part of your tuner are you trying to use? the S, T or analogue part? S (Satellite) you should be fine, I'm guessing your problems are with the T side (FreeviewHD).

I wouldn't bother, why do you want analogue, when the digital signal is so much better.

Try the DVB-T tuner, same aerial as analogue, but 400% better picture quality... Of course this assumes your video card is up to the task of decoding it...

Just installed SoftMCE, rebooted, and now I get picture.

For some reason when I try digital, I only get clear signals from Prime and C4. I'm right in the CBD in an old flat, maybe the aerials pointing the wrong way? I don't know.

Having trouble recording now. Replicating the problem and will post logs shortly.

I get this error. I think I had this same problem on Vista but I can't remember how I fixed it.

If I were you, I'd try to sort that out instead of using analog.

Post the logs, but as I said analog is unsupported on this device, so you may be out of luck. I'll see if anything obvious stands out in the logs.

FWIW, I had the same problem after the upgrade from XP, and when I switched from VMR9 to EVR, the problem was solved (got my video back).

The logs show its complaining about the SoftMCE components being missing:

Assuming Cydewinder does have SoftMCE installed, perhaps the encoder filter name is different now under windows 7? I have no idea if it's a new version of SoftMCE, but either way it might be worth running Filtercheck and posting the log.
