I'm pretty sure the name hasnt changed, and this is just a case of not having SoftMCE installed.

I've installed SoftMCE multiple times. From the CD that came with my card, from various links on the Hauppauge website.

And I know it's done something because Live TV didn't work before I installed it, and now it does.

I'm on 64 bit Windows 7 and this exact setup worked fine under 32 bit Vista. I've chalked it up to a problem with SoftMCE not being updated and given up.

FWIW, the filtercheck log is attached. My untrained eye can't see the SoftMCE filter anywhere there.

This is an excerpt from the SoftMCE install.log that it leaves behind when I install it.

Code:

Just tried running the install file in compatibility mode as an administrator. No luck.

Here's another excerpt from the SoftMCE install log

Code:
File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mceesmpeg.ax File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcempgaout.dll File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcempgcheck.dll File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcempgmux.dll File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcempgvout.dll File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcepcmaout.dll File Overwrite: C:\Windows\system32\Hauppauge\SoftMCE\mcesr_wrap.dll

Those files are there. I assume that's the filter? Is there any way I can register them manually so the system recognises them or something?

Since you are getting audio, assume the tuners are functioning. I would then assume it is a video codec problem. You should be able to play mpeg recordings from the default windows 7 unless it is a digital signal using a different codec. Then you would need that codec selected. ffdshow would be a good codec to use for this. Just make sure you install the 32 bit version or it won't show up in PVR2X. I see you tried ffdshow. Did it show up in your selection screen?

No, it wouldnt show up there. You'd have manually look for the 'MainConcept (MCE) MPEG Encoder' filter in GraphEdit to check its installed.
