Here's a weird one (to me anyway). Hopefully it's something obvious to those in the know...
gbpvr has been happily plodding along for months now, but a couple of weeks ago, I found I could no longer change channel upwards (via keyboard, remote, or mouse) to Film4 (freeview). Changing down to it worked fine.
My channels start off as:
1. BBC1
2. BBC2
3. stv
4. Channel 4
5. Channel 5
6. BBC News
7. Film4
8. Film4+1
All of them are DVB-T freeview channels, except Film4+1 which is a DVB-S freesat channel. I can change up and down amongst all the other channels fine, but from some strange reason, I can't go from BBC News -> Film4, but I can go from Film4+1 -> Film4 (downwards). The onscreen guide data changes, but the picture stays on BBC News, but frozen. There is no sound. I guess it's some kind of failed tuning request.
Because it works going down the way, I thought it was the change between DVB-T and DVB-S tuners, but no, it makes no difference even if I move Film4 to another channel number (so it's surrounded by other DVB-T channels). Changing up to it never works, but changing down does!
Now, when this first happened a few weeks back, I eventually solved it by removing all traces of the channel (not an easy task with the number of recordings lying around from it), then readding it. It started working again.
But now it's broken again (and I've changed nothing recently, honest guv'). Deleting and readding this time has not solved the problem :-(
Every other channel - and I have about 50 or 60 of them in all - work fine.
I'm running XP Pro SP3, with three DVB-T and two DVB-S tuners, split between an external USB2 Nova-T and a Pinnacle 7010x. Latest gbpvr, and just the BBC iPlayer plugin, weather2, and cinema listings.
I've attached logs showing:
- successful channel-up from BBC1 to BBC2 (1 to 2)
- failed channel-up from BBC News to Film4 (6 to 7)
- successful channel-down from Film4+1 to Film4 (8 to 7)
Hopefully someone can help me out :-)
Thanks all.
