I have just installed GBPVR v1.4.7 but am unable to get the sound working on all channels.

My sound system default is the Realtek HD Audio but if I set all the decoder settings to system default I cannot get sound on BBC1, BBC2, Channel 4 etc.

I just wonder if there is a set of decoder settings that are known to work please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated please.TIA.

The recommended setting for audio renderer is system default. If that does not work, start pvrx2, do one thing that does not work, stop pvrx2 and post the logs.

Also you might try installing the AC3 Filter.

I set all the playback settings to system default and then turned off pvrx2.

I then reopened pvrx2, selected the TV guide, selected BBC1 which duly appeared but with no sound.I shut down pvrx2 and zipped up the logs from the logs folder of the GBPVR directory.I hope I have done what you asked correctly.

I should mention that I had to install, uninstall and re-install the program a couple of times until I discovered the sc delete command.

I have also not installed the Dvbtradio Plugin yet as I wanted to get the TV component working first. Am also not sure which version of the plugin works best.

Do you have either FFDshow Audio, or ac3filter set to output SPDIF?

Probably worth checking your tuner scans to see if any have been set to Audio#2 (which will give you no sound).

I should have said that it is recommended to select something other than system default for everything except audio renderer which is recommended to be default.

Your log contains this ...

My advice would be to uninstall ffdshow. I also second McBain re. the audio #2 stuff.

Thanks for the help, guys. It's much appreciated.

Have removed ffdshow and using your advice have managed to get the sound and vision working OK.

Have installed the Dvbtradio plugin but strangely cannot pick up Absolute Radio,TalkSPORT etc.

Trying to get the Winter Hill transmitter info for the period November 4th 2009to December 1st 2009 so that I can alter the settings in the BDA\DVB-t\0076file so that my card can scan all the necessary muxes.

I suspect that I may not be scanning the mux containing Absolute Radio and the other missing radio channels.
