LOL, I guess that would cause a problem, wouldn't it?
I saw the Leadtek WinFast PVR2000 in the drop-down box and just assumed that it was the card I have. Any chance of support for the Leadtek WinFast TV2000 card being added in the future?

I have no plans to support this type of card. That said, there is a user supplied plugin that *may* allow your card to work, see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?p=35950 .

I'll give it a try and report back if it works.
Thanks for the quick responses.

Having the exact same problem. Cannot communicate with the recording service. I am on XP Pro with a Hauppage PVR 150. When recording, it creates a directory for the show, but doesn't record, says the device is sleeping. Any Help would be great. Thank You.

I am having a similar problem. "Failed to communicate with the recording service" message shows up when there is a recording conflict and I select to "Cancel" the previously scheduled recording or if I try to cancel any other recording that is shown as Pending.
I also wasn't able to record anything yet. There are items shown as Pending even though they are expired (past their showtime). There are folders created for these on the hard-drive, but they contain 0 bytes (empty) files. The Recording Status window always reads: Capture Source #1: Sleeping. I can't watch liveTV anymore either. When I try, message pops up: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." I was able to fix this before by uninstalling and re-installing GB-PVR, but that only fixed it until I tried to record again, so there is no point in trying reinstall again. I am using PVR-150 and IR blaster that came with it, WindowsXP, Digital cable service. Composite inputs to PVR-150. |
