I do use XP. I've been waiting to get Win 7 until I can grab another hard drive to back up my stuff to and do a clean install. Overlay huh? I haven't tried that yet. Everyone has always said to use VMR9. I'll give that a shot too. There is a specific show that I watch that I can really see the interlacing and blurring and that is my test show. So when that comes on tonight I'll be able to see how good SAF is working or not working, and I'll try using Overlay too.
As reference for what looks the best I've been using VLC with the Linear option on gbprv's pause buffer. It is excellent. No blur, no jerkiness. Its just a real hassle and there is no reason I shouldn't be able to get the same results from within gbpvr.
I'm optimistic that its just something I'm overlooking. I appreciate all the suggestions.
