Can you post the logs showing the HVR-2250 attempt? I'll check its the same.

I'm not aware of any steps to find an obvious cause of this.

Logs should be attached. I just ran it against one of the tuners (device #2).

Yep, thats doing the same thing.

I have noticed there is some log lines missing though, so that might give us some clues as to where its going wrong. We'd probably need someone else to post a working HVR-2250 qam log to compare though.

Added a capture source and scanned the first frequency. I then cancelled the scan but it should be enough to give you what you need.

I am also logging the SQL so it will show those entries where yours won't steveum. (sub know this of course).

Thanks whurlston.

Unfortunately I cant see any real significant difference between these logs, other than the choice of video decoder.

steveum, if you want, and are able to set it up, I could connect via remote desktop, or vnc, or logmein to take a look.

I don't think windows 7 premium can act as a remote desktop host unless I upgraded to ultimate, so I probably would need setup one of the others. I will look into it.

I saw the exactly the same behaviour in another user's logs, and changing the video decoder away from the Microsoft DTV decoder was enough to get it working, so you should try that...

Changing the video decoder resolves the issue for me too. At least I see it working for the 2250 now. I will try the 1600/1800 later too.

Thanks for the help!

I did notice two minor bugs. You probably already aware of them.

The buttons that are used to move the captures sources up and down in the list are both blank for me. They both work, but unless you already knew the purpose of the buttons, it would seem odd. Maybe this is a windows 7 thing?

After running the scan the first time, it did not find one of my channels. I exited the config and then came back the mapping window again. I pushed the button to force the rescan. When the rescan was complete, I could see the missing channel in list to the right. The problem is that the drop down list for that channel was not updated with the new scan results. To get around the problem, I exited the mapping window and then opened it up again. This time the drop down list has the most recent scan.
