Hello! New user here and thank-you for your assistance.
I am unable to get any sound or video. It seems the channels were detected okay.

[INDENT]Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
PVR-150MCE
nVidia GeForce 6200
CMI8738 Sound[/INDENT]

I have attached my log files. I thought it could be the ConnectPins failed, but read elsewhere that is okay with PVR-150. My second guess would be ffdshow problems.

Code:
2009-12-06 16:19:06.998    VERBOSE    About try all encoders until we find one that works...
2009-12-06 16:19:06.999    VERBOSE    Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Encoder

2009-12-06 16:19:07.006    VERBOSE    Pin mediums match...
2009-12-06 16:19:07.489    VERBOSE    using instance: 1
2009-12-06 16:19:07.492    VERBOSE    Source pin for connect not found
2009-12-06 16:19:07.492    VERBOSE    ConnectPins failed: hr = 80004005
2009-12-06 16:19:07.492    VERBOSE    E_FAIL

Thanks for the assistance!

I'm pretty sure its to do with the video decoder being used. Try explicitly selecting an MPEG2 video decoder in the config app, rather than relying on the 'system default' setting.

Thank-you. I tried the 'Microsoft MPEG-2 Video Decoder', 'InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge' and ffdshow.

Still no sound or video - is there something else I can try? Could I be missing some Hauppauge middleware?

Thank-you

Trying installing and selecting these decoders:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm

If you still have problems, post the pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Sorry, I dont really know - there is no obvious problem in the logs. They look pretty much the same as a working machine would.

Silly question no doubt but PVR150 is working A/V in WinTV? Problem is GBPVR specific?

No - I also tried WinTV with no go.

This is a PVR-150 pulled from an HP machine - I wonder if that could be the issue?

Thanks for the help...

Suspect really need to get back to start here, if PVR150 not working properly in WinTV (written by someone we know!) then that may be place to begin? I.e. if doesn't work in WinTV most likely will not with GBPVR.

Others out there know more about this stuff but I wouldn't have thought a problem.

Have you got a driver install issue perhaps?
