Hi all,

I have a problem with mp3 playback. For some files, when I play from GBPVR it sounds like my speakers are broken. I don't have this problem when playing the same files with winamp or mediaplayer.

When I render an mp3 with graphedit it reports that the codec used is the Intervideo audio decoder, and when I play the file it sounds the same as with GBPVR.

When in graphedit I replace the codec with the non-CSS version, it sounds OK. I have selected this one in the config app for the movie audio playback and that sounds alright, but how can I get GBPVR to use it for mp3 playback too?

I'm running the latest .227 version (which works fine otherwise) on my Pundit-R. I'm not sure now if the problem was present in .214 because I had not played those files for a while.

TIA

You cant set it in GB-PVR. I just use whatever is the system default.

There are some programs (RADLight?) to allow you to adjust the priority associated with the various filters installed on your machine system default. Google for "directshow merit"

Hi Sub,

You are right. I was just about to let you know I had fixed it some 5 minutes ago.

In fact, it was GraphEdit itself that had screwed things up. I found in the properties of the decoder in GraphEdit that it used the decoder in its own directory (iviaudio.ax, there were a few more in there).

When I had removed it, graphedit showed the normal MPEG Layer-3 decoder from Fraunhofer and everything is fine again.

Just weird, don't you think?

Anyway, thanks for the quick response and it had nothing to do with the new release! Everything is fine and it's great that as I'm typing this the kids are watching a Tigger movie on the TV!!
