Thank you very much.

Robin.

Thank you Robin for taking the time to thank me. I can't take the credit for this workaround it was muted shortly after the release of 1.4.7 by someone else on this board, unfortunately I can't remember the name or point you to the post.
The problem you encountered is a bug in the scanning logic along with hops and skips with TS Mux these are problems that Sub is aware of and has said he will fix in next release.

It might be worth mentioning to everyone, if you use and enjoy GBPVR and the excellent support that comes with it on this forum to remember to donate a small sum to this project (maybe $5 or £3 in real money) to cover costs of hosting and the like, not to mention Sub and others time, effort, e.t.c

EDTIT TO ADD:
There used to be a donate button but can't seem to find it now, maybe Sub has given up on donations.

Maybe - but just in case, there is still a Donate button on the wiki - bottom left.

I was a touch hasty in that I've found a subsequent problem - the scans aren't picking up CBeebies or CBBC - very important when you've recording stuff for a friend's children!

Any thoughts? I wondered why the earlier advice I had received about choosing "Wales" & "Carmel after DSO" in my card settings wasn't mentioned by you.

Tried rescanning tonight, but no sign of those 2 channels.

Will only pick up find these channels in a scan if they are broadcasting at the time. THe same frequencies turn into BBC 3 & 4 at 7pm.
Conversely if you scan in the day, you will not find BBC3 & 4!

Folks,

We go Digitial in 3 months... (can't wait NOT)

as a result of the tuner people messing arround with the channel line ups. I've having to rescan about once a week to handle all the updates....

and yes that means twice a day for all channels, CBEEBIES and BBC 3&4 are my favourate examples !

I take the point about CBeebies & CBBC turning into BBC3 & 4, but how do you schedule recordings?

If I want to schedule a CBBC recording in the evening - when I'm at home - and it doesn't appear as CBBC in the TV Guide - what's the solution?

Thanks

They appear as two separate channels in the TV guide and gbpvr source - both with blanks where there are no shows available. So if they ever squeeze more space into a mux then they could both be 24 hours without messing around (other than a rescan). The source and guide work on channel names rather then tuning data.

Whenever I need to do a rescan, I usually rescan between 5pm and 6:30pm then I do a second rescan sometime after 7:30pm, loading the EPG both times. I then have a complete channel lineup and EPG I can schedule from (for BBC3/4 and CBBC/Cbeebies)

When you read my post on what to do did you read the part that started with "unfortunately" Smile

I didn't mention wales etc because it wasn't particularly relevent to your problem.
The guys have given you the answer and I did at the end of my original post you have to scan before 6pm and after 7pm to get all channels.
