BBC Iplayer Downloader Plugin - Beta + Support

I have to say the only time I ever saw this timeout error was when I did a new install and didn;t have the get_iplaye backend working quite right (I think enabling auto-update fixed that)

since then, i have not had any problems and I only ever kick off a download between 7-11pm at night. My ISP are BT.

But if this issue is genuinely the root cause of peoples woe's, then some kind of schedule would be good. My download speeds between 9-5 (when everyone else is at work) are 900k/s which is reasonably good.

I'm afraid I now have to report this download error, manifested as a 'can't find part of the path' error. It shouldn't be a download speed problem as:
1. It plays fine in iPlayer
2. My broadband speed is around 18Mbits/sec

Nothing in the config has changed - here are the logs. Thanks.

Same result here - looks like this is due to the "/" in the filename.

So should be a simple code tweak to strip any trailing backslashes off the filename....?

I have uploaded a new version of the plugin for those who want it. It now supports scheduling of downloads to begin at a predetermined time to avoid BW throttling from ISP's.

I have also fixed the issue with the '\' being included in the file name causing a problem.

Thanks for the new scheduling feature. Not sure if I will use it myself but I'm sure others will find it invaluable. This plugin is the daddy.

BTW: I don;t bother to transcode. I just leave it as an flv, rename it to an flv1 in postprocessing.bat and update filename in database and SAF codec pack (ffdshow I believe) plays it back fine. Job done.

It may be a upgrade issue, I have tested both the downloads Ok on my setup.

I would stop the GBPVR service and then uninstall and reinstall the plugin and see if it is any better, if not try the getiplayer script from the command line with the --flush and see if that fixes it.
