Hi All,

I desperately want to try GBPVR but I cannot get the software to work with my capture card, I have tried many different times to run the config software to add a capture device but it never finds any channels, I have downloaded the EPG in XML format and tried different capture devices without success.

The only time I did find any channels during the scan was selecting the 1250(QAM) but none of the channels had names so I could not map them.

I am using cable straight into the tuner card, I believe it is NTSC (Analog cable) but there is no option to select a NTSC versoin of my card

Any help would be much appreciated

Thank you

Richard

Cable companies rarely supply the names for the channels. You need to click on them (unencrypted channels will be marked with an asterix) to view them in the preview window so that you can identify them and then map them.

To select the analog tuner, you need to set up an analog capture device instead of a digital/bda capture device.

Unfortunately the 1250 doesnt have the required hardwrae MPEG2 encoder, so inst usable for analog in GB-PVR. That said, I think some may have got it going with plugins like Graph Recorder.

Thank you for the reply Sub, so basically I cannot use my tv tuner card with basic analog cable(no digi box) I have searched for Graph Recorder but it looks fairly time consuming to make it work, I may just bite the bullet anf pay the $79 for Sage TV. I have been using a trial and this softeware seems to workk very well

Regards
