I wanted to give American Idol an extra minute at the end, so I opened the gbpvr.mdb file and changed the end time to 9:01 and then the start time of House to 9:01. I looked at gpbvr Pending list to see that the times had been changed to what I wanted. After everything was recorded, though, the programs still changed over at 9:00, and when I opened the gbpvr.mdb file, it showed 9:00 instead of 9:01.

I think this has worked for me in the past. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

Thanks.

GB-PVR only polls the database every 15 minutes or so for these external changes, so you may have just been unlucky.

I was doing the same thing for West Wing. I noticed it would only work if I changed it the day of the show, after the EPG update. I guess when the EPG downloads it overwrites any manual edits. That would make sense, so that any programming changes would update.

I changed the database at least 2.5 hours before American Idol started. I didn't Restart Recording Service, though.

If you are still interested in adjusting the start and end times, XRecord with a Combination of CDK Scheduler has this ability to do it on a show basis.
