This unit has two DVB tuners, both can be seen using the supplied Hypermedia software, which is a bit basic.

I have GB-PVR working with one of the tuners which I have called TV1.

I created a new source called TV2 using the same device code, and scanned channels without any problem, however any attempt to record two programs on different multiplexes fails.

I also tried setting device number to 2, that gives no channels on a scan.

I must be doing something wrong somewhere. If anyone can please point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

There are quite a few test recordings shown in the logs.

Thanks

Keith

Run filtercheck.exe, and attach the filtercheck.log and I'll take a look.

You should be setting up two capture sources, both for 'AF9015 BDA'. One as device #1, the other as device #2.

That is one of the things I did try, as it seemed the most logical thing to do. Device 2 could not find any channels when I tried a scan.

Maybe I should have selected it and not scanned for channels.

I will try it again and let you know the result.

Thank you for your assistance.

Can you post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log after an attempted scan.

I think I may have found the answer.

I had a problem with GB-PVR not receiving any channels after the computer was restarted earlier on today.

In the end I ran the Hypermedia software, which came bundled with the tuner, to see if the tuner had gone faulty.

That worked ok, and after that GB-PVR worked fine. Somehow the Hypermedia software must have initialised the TV card drivers.

After selecting device 2 as you suggested, no channels were received as before!

I then had a thought,Rolleyes Perhaps if I go into Hypermedia again, but this time select tuner number 2. I could receive channels on that ok.

I then went back into device 2 on GB-PVR, and I could receive channels.

I then rechecked the TV Guide and I could record fine on two muxes.

There is something going on within Hypermedia, which must be initialising the TV card device drivers. This is not being done by GB-PVR.

The question is, what needs to run to do this, without having to run Hypermedia first? An interesting problem, where to look is the question.

I have a device that is based on the AF9015 chip and I use the drivers from ...

http://www.ite.com.tw/EN/products_more.a...6&ID=15,62

and it's all good (using XP).

Graham,

Thanks for the information. The drivers are already included with my tuner, and were automatically installed when I first ran the software.

They show up on device manager, so I suspect there must be some form of hardware initialisation that needs to take place, before the internal tuner circuitry can work.

This is being accomplished for the first time by Hypermedia, after that point, the card works fine.

I will have to start from scratch and use filemon to see what is being accessed by Hypermedia when it starts up. This may give some clue as to what is needed in some form of .ini file, within GB-PVR

I'd have no idea what that would be. The drivers are supposed to take care of their own initialisation.
