Random skipping on playback with PCH a100

This has plagued me ever since I got the NMT working with GBPVR using mvpmcx2 more than a month ago. Playing back GBPVR hd recordings has been difficult. The most common issue is I'll skip forward with the 25 second jump I have set, and the program jumps almost to end of the file. Not from everywhere I try, but at some specific point in the program. Things are going great, and them suddenly it skips to the end. It will happen everytime from anywhere around that point. Other behavior is that it will skip forward when I try to skip back, or skip way more than it should.

I've been thinking that the files I'm try to play have information missing from bad reception, and so I haven't bothered to ask about it on the forum. But lately this has been happening with even seemingly flawless files. So I just did a test with an Office episode where the problem occurred about 5-6 minutes in. Then I tried to duplicate it playing the file on the PCH without using GBPVR. No problem. Then I tried playing on the server directly in GBPVR. No problem. So it is clear that at least some of the time, the problem is unique to pch and GBPVR.

I'd like to know if there is something wrong with my PCH as the warranty period is still in effect. The reason I wonder is that I don't see any other postings with the same problem. It's really not practical to playback anything on the PCH using GBPVR. The interface works great for scheduling etc., however.

The bugs still exists but I added workaround to this in November. http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=2 I recommend staying up to date, you've missed several if you still see it.

Does it look like I used an old version?

You missed more recent updates, but my guess is you installed via a copy so the file date for the archive is wrong. Run NMTInstall again to get the new version of mvpmcx2

Martin, Reinstalled mvpmcx2 with some progress. The Office episode I mentioned in the first post now plays perfectly. However another problem episode that plays and skips around fine on the server, stops playing at about 30 minutes in, of 90. It won't play properly on the NMT natively either. No skipping forward at all. Don't know if it stops playing at the same spot or not.

Here's the logs. Does the GBPVR bug workaround seem to be in place? Are there other problems.

You have an update version now. The Barbara Walter special seems to start unrecoverable problems when you skip foward 60 minutes

In this example I don't know how sub is calculating things and I can't see an obvious cause. You can download TSMuxeR and remux it to see if there are problems in the file.

Remuxing fixed the playback problems. Thanks for that idea. I didn't know what TsMuxeR was. Great tool.

I'm looking forward to getting more enjoyment out of the PCH, now that it's behaving. Thanks for your help.
