I've recently migrated from a totally Hauppauge recever/blaster/remote setup to a completely MCE receiver/blaster/remote setup and have it all working amazingly great, except for one thing of course, volume in NetRadio. I've mapped the volume up/down keys so they act as the left/right keyboard keys as GBPVR likes these for the internal volume control. The problem is in NetRadio these keys don't adjust the volume like they do everywhere else, and like they did with the old Hauppauge remote setup. I remember with the Hauppauge 45 button remote the volume keys performed as the left/right keys do with the MCE remote, however in the Wiki the key codes for these keys should be Ctrl+X and Ctrl+Z yet this does nothing when I try it in my MCE setup. Is there something else I should be setting the volume keys up for? The internal volume control(OSD) works fine for everything else except for NetRadio. I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, I tried my best to find info on this. Thank you!

i usually map appcommands for the volume up/dn keys...[i think they are only ones active when in radio or music plugins, and at main menu when music is playing in background]
how you change them depends on what software you have controlling the remote..
in HIP use the 'predefined' cmds for volume up/dn.
for my no-software mce trick, they are already mapped that way..
oh and check the config app last tab for which volume you're controlling..i set to gbpvr vol..

Hi thanks for your reply,

I am using your no MCE trick and it is wonderful. I couldn't get the blaster side of things to work but I ended up using the Media Portal translator app for blasting and it's working flawlessly. Anyway, I have the volume control right now set to Master Volume, this is a carryover from the hauppauge 45 remote I had before. Do I need to change this to Local Volume, and then change the key mappings back to the default Volume Up/Volume Down appcommands?

yea, that sounds about right...
there's something different in win7 with the appcommand/volumes, so i had to redo those myself also for hip..
i'll have to check out my no-software trick to make sure it has the proper vols for win7 also..[i developed on xp]

Well, I set my volume to local in the config file, reset the registry mod to the default keys for volume control, and cranked the GBPVR internal volume to the max using the left and right key. While it still doesn't give me the OSD of the internal volume control using the volume keys, at least it allows a wider variation of control and controls both TV and Netradio so I am OK with that. I have found that Windows 7 has a lot of nice things but does not allow anywhere close to the amount of manipulation that XP allowed, at least not without a CS degree Smile If you do end up changing something to accomodate windows 7 will you let me know?
