No it sounds even more like a VirtualStore problem.

If you have files in "%LocalAppData\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz" you probably should clean them out.

Wow, that was too simple. I cleaned out the VirtualStore--and just like that it was working again. You guys know your stuff. I greatly appreciate your time sub and Martin. Sorry for the wild goose chase with my terminology.
