Folks,

I'd got a Sky HD Box here in the house. Currently I'm connected over SVideo to the HD box for my recording via Hauppauge PVR 350 Card. Everything is working fine.

But I'd like to get HD recording rather than HD Feed recorded using Analogue Card.

Outputs on the back on the Sky HD Box are only HDMI, SVideo, Scart.

Suggestions ?
Regards Systemshark

Nothing with a hardware encoder. You could convert to component & use a hauppauge HDPVR (up to 1080i)

I tried the avermedia hdmi capture card, and it wasn't much chop with it's supplied encoders.

and it's software encoding, so you'd have to build graphedit graphs to have it work with GBPVR

I have heard the codec they use are pretty good, not sure it will let you record HDCP content.

The Aver one did allow me to record HDCP content, not sure if it was a glitch in the drivers etc - but it was quite hard to try and get it working outside of their media app, with graphedit etc.
