Thanks very much for this- you have saved me from "unknown channel" hell.

Incidently, I'm now getting generally good results here on the most Southern tip of Wales, except no Mux 62 (which appears to be a common problem). Never mind, only two years, eh? Unless of course it is a glitch that might improve.

I might have better luck with Wenvoe, but I can't really be bothered to fiddle too much at the moment.

A bit obvious really, but I am getting much better scans when I am not splitting the signal into my 2 cards - use the wiz tool to duplicate the scan/channel assignment onto the second card. I expect that most of you will have a single input, dual tuner card, but for those who don't, it's worth not splitting the aerial - just whilst setting up new channels.

Still no Dave and others, but I think I need to use some of those scan.cache files in this thread, and maybe it'll work then (it finds ALL channels with no unknowns, but no picture or sound on 50% of channels... grr!)

I too have been having problem e-tuning ont Mendip but being new to this stuff I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the Scan Cache file. Could somebody please help me out with an idiots guide.
