I am in a little trouble here, the main show my wife cares about me recording for her is America's Next Top Model. The last two weeks it has failed, after scrounging through my logs I have come to the conclusion that it is because it is attempting to start the recording on my 2250 as opposed to the ATI550 that it should be using. This line in my pending.log gives me that clue:
[HTML]3392 America's Next Top Model 4/21/2010 8:00:00 PM - 4/21/2010 9:00:00 PM capture-source:5 tuning:0[/HTML]
where it should be something like:
[HTML]3540 It's Me or the Dog 5/1/2010 8:00:00 PM - 5/1/2010 9:00:00 PM capture-source:1 tuning:40[/HTML]

Last week when this occurred, I removed and recreated all of my capture sources (painful), thinking it was an old reference causing this. But, it happened again today. And, I am certain to be in trouble again for not capturing her show.

I am at a loss as to what to do. A few things to note, I have a show recording on the 2250 leading up to A.T.M. (Family Guy, I record both Simpsons & Family Guy episodes from 6-8PM). Her show starts at 8PM, and is recorded off my analog line.

For now, I canceled the Family Guy recording, hoping that will solve it.

I am attaching my logs (besides pending - it is huge), in hopes that someone can use them to help me out here.

Looking in the recording service log I see this repeating:
Code:
2010-04-21 19:58:00.109    VERBOSE    [5]    BDARecordingSource about to start multi-record  oid:5 channel: file:F:\working\Americas Next Top Model_20100421_20002100.ts

2010-04-21 19:58:00.437    ERROR    [5]    Unexpected error checking tuning on back-to-back multirecords

Please help...

Thank you.

Should I turn off Multi-Record?

Can you zip and post your pending.log? It looks like you have the channel enabled on the digital side of the 2250 but not mapped. If this is the case, just disable the channel by unchecking it in the capture source setup.

When I return home, in about a half hour I will post my pending log, the channel is definitely not enabled for the 2250. There are only four channels listed under the 2250's all QAM.
VNC & FTP for the win, here's my log. (sent from my phone).

So, I am currently recording Family Guy off the QAM source & just to test I scheduled the very next show at 8PM on the analog side. We'll see what happens, I have disabled Multi-Record. Of course, this test recording has started just fine.

Yeah, it looks like you have one or more channels enabled on your "2250 Digital 2" digital capture source that does not have channel mappings:

Code:
3215    It's Me or the Dog   4/17/2010 8:00:00 PM - 4/17/2010 9:00:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3337    Family Guy   4/18/2010 9:00:00 PM - 4/18/2010 9:30:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3326    Breaking Bad   4/18/2010 10:00:00 PM - 4/18/2010 11:02:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3327    Breaking Bad   4/18/2010 11:02:00 PM - 4/19/2010 12:03:00 AM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3392    America's Next Top Model   4/21/2010 8:00:00 PM - 4/21/2010 9:00:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
[B]3338    Family Guy   4/25/2010 9:00:00 PM - 4/25/2010 9:30:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3328    Breaking Bad   4/25/2010 10:00:00 PM - 4/25/2010 11:02:00 PM  capture-source:5  tuning:0
3329    Breaking Bad   4/25/2010 11:02:00 PM - 4/26/2010 12:03:00 AM  capture-source:5  tuning:0[/B]

The ones in bold will fail on 4/25 as well if you don't disable those channels (or map them) in that capture source. Edit the capture source and untick (disable) any channels that do not have a tuning string.

Seriously, they don't exist. Want a screenshot? How about two?

Any suggestions? Should I delete and re-create all my capture sources?

Thanks. I'll take a look and see if I can figure it out. It might me an hour or two though (TV time with my wife).

No problem, thanks for the help. I have to get some dinner with my wife as well, so I won't be checking anytime soon. Wink

It looks like it's due to multiple season recordings that you have scheduled. For instance, you have Family Guy set to record on both WFFB and WFFBDT at the same time. If you go to 4/25 9:00PM, you will see that it is scheduled to record on both of those channels at the same time.
