Could you enable page up/down for channel changing also? Alternatively, I can have the NMT send different key values to mimic keypad +/-

Just add the following in the KeyMappings.xml, in the "LiveTV" section:

<Key code="Next" command="Channel+"/>
<Key code="PageUp" command="Channel-"/>

Much better thanks. I hadn't noticed the standalone KeyMapping.xml file. Will I still be able to use KeyMappings\pluginname.xml for plugins?

Martin.

No, not at this stage. Or rather I should say that there is no class provided to read that file for you.

Maybe I will just put it in with the skin for now. No problem.

I have the same issue as you. Firstly ive duplicated the [PVRX2] section and renamed [nPVR].
Ive also added "nPVR= " to the [Applications] section.

That gets the directional buttons working on the remote - but nothing else at all works (and i mean nothing).

As ive seen mentioned in this thread - PVRX2 works perfectly well with the hauppauge remote - so its not the remote software as such. The trick is to get both PVRX2 and nPVR to both work using the remote Smile

Just so i dont get anything wrong - are you saying that if i change all the {CTRL} codes to be lower case it should work ?

I note in my irremote.ini the codes for some things are already lower case and they still dont appear to work.

As there have been multiple posts - each to do with a particular fix to get a partcular button working - Just to avoid any confusion here is the section related to nPVR (prior to any changes to case), and im wondering how this matches up with someone that has a hauppauge remote that works for all the buttons (including colour buttons, guide, start / stop etc etc).

[nPVR]

TVNEW={f2}

Hopefully someone could post a 'fully' function remotes section Smile pretty please

changing the letters to lower case got most of the buttons working.

The green button no longer brings up a guide of whats currently on (as per gbpvr), the red button no longer brings up teletext (not that i care bout that one).
the text button no longer brings up the details about current channel (pids etc).

channel up and down , and also volume up/down, and mute buttons no longer work in npvr (they still working fine in gbpvr)

The guide button no longer brings up a mini guide

thats all to report so far Smile

See above for fixes to the channel up/down. You need to remap them to {add} {subtract} and then they work fine.

have tried that and still no-go for those keys. funnily enough those keys do work on the remote in gbpvr.

I might just wait and see what the next build brings.

Well took smajor's advice and picked up a cheap mce remote from ebay. Now all my remote troubles are solved. The missing keys, multiple key presses, everything.

It only cost £5 so recommended to everyone at that price. Thanks ti all for advice and help.

So, can someone please confirm which MCE buttons should be working? Many don't for me in live TV, but I've been putting it down to the beta status of NPVR. There is no mini-guide, which in particular is missed here.
