I have uploaded a new version of the Web Radio Base http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/NWebRadio.zip to deal with some changes that SHOUTcast introduced with their new version 2.0. The main issue is their web servers are sending an RSS feed format on some occasions. Because WebRadio 2 and 3.0 do not recognize this format, the list would appear empty.

If you encounter any problems with Shoutcast files, please compress and upload the Shoutcast.com.genre.xml file from your temp folder, with your logs and I will verify that Web Radio is parsing it correctly.

In addition there are a few list improvements navigating large list.

- navigate by percent on keyboard or remote (ie 0 = top, 1= 10%, 5 = 50%)
- location in some lists is preserved as you back out.
- Page Up/Down will now cycle around the lists

At this time no, but I do have a love/hate relationship with NPVR. Sometimes when the progress slows down because of sub's day job I do wonder if I made the right decision to even update Web Radio for NPVR, since I am far from my 1.4.7 level of user satisfaction with the current beta. I have MusicBox (MB4) playing random music, but last weekend I put the UI update on hold trying to figure this all out.

Back to WR 2. If Shoutcast support does breaks completely and it is a simple matter of the RSS change, I will like update WR2.

I feel you should add this to your thread in Community Announcements as I am sure a lot of users missed the original message & it deserves a bump anyway.

I don't think I quite understand the "1" "5" fully, first off they only work on the top number keys on my keyboard & not the number pad (not a biggie for me as I will be using the NMT remote mostly) secondly if I press "5" it drops me to 1/2 way down the list but if I then press "1" I am back up near the top again, I would have thought I would then be 60% down the list?

Thanks the preserve location for shoutcast is much better.

The cycle around the list also works fine (even though I am not a fan of cycling around lists) but having the "0" take you back to the top of the list makes it work really well & I can actually see me using it.

There's really not enough change to warrant an announcement.

The remote keys aren't additive, but if you want 60% use 6, 80% 8 etc.

But it really warrants a bump as I am sure a lot missed the original with all the excitement of the new NPVR & this is a good way of doing it......just my 2c worth but totally up to you.

OK now that makes much more sense I never thought of trying the other number keys....doh!

Martin, some time ago I'm sure you mentioned changing Last Played to show maybe 5 (or more) entries...

IMHO that would be an excellent usability feature.

I prefer discussion on the features, I don't like announcement threads that become support. I've updated the plugin to handle the numpad keys, thanks for that.

Hi Alex, yes I had that in WR2 code I was working on, I will resurrect it, it sort of got lost when the Last Played install was moved to AddOns.

That would be great especially if the number of Last Played entries was user configurable...Smile
