Hauppauge Remote control not working

The menu button is not working for me either. Currently mapped as MENU={home}.

Pressing the Record button in the Guide is not working either.

Neither are a big deal really.

My MENU button, which is also mapped to {home}, only works when I'm watching live TV. It will bring up the main menu and show what I'm watching in a box in the upper left corner of the screen. Which other menu items should it work in? What is it supposed to do?

I tried what you mention and mine has the same behavior in Live TV. I was used to menu taking me back to the main menu from whatever sub-menu I was in. You can achieve the same thing with 1 or more Back/Exit presses.

Anyone (Reddwarf?) with a HIP Happ 45 remote to nPVR config file they want to share? I've got it mosly working but cant get the delay right. either too fast or to slow.

Had to resort to HIP as I don't have any Happauge cards in my machine and more.

Sorry I don't have a Haupp.remote, I use the one that came with the Cinergy C capturecard (with HIP).

No problem. Will just have to hack away. Might throw in my Happ 150 card and do the remote thru that.

Anyway, need to have the analoge card/STB set up as a backup as getting NPVT up and running with DVBS+CI is a lot of work. Have to reboot quite often as picture goes choppy, but that another story....

It would be great if the Hauppauge remote could be directly supported, as it is in Mediaportal, as I find the WinTV remote app rather buggy and prone to crashing.

I understand that a lot of people use MCE remotes though and that it might be considered too much work and not a priority.

I'm pretty sure mediaportal just inserts its settings in irremote.ini like mentioned above, so other than doing it automatically, it should be exactly the same as NPVR/GBPVR.

I dont remember any reports of IR32.exe crashing over the years of GBPVR and NPVR.

No I'm pretty sure that Mediaportal doesn't do that as if it did, IR32.exe would need to be running, which it isn't.

All I can tell you is that IR32.exe crashed quite a lot for me when I used it.
