I expect Tribune to have this fixed next week.

Sub: Can GB-PVR import a raw data-direct formatted file or only XMLTV?

Folks can use XMLTV's tv_grab_na_dd or (ug) MC2XML to get XMLTV listings from SD and import into GB-PVR.

That'll be good.

Unfortunately there is no interface that accepted the data-direct data from a file. It was only capable of retrieving it itself from the web service.

From a file it can only load the xmltv style files.

sub: a while back we were given a test URL. Does this version of GB-PVR support the old test URL?

Is the URL hard-coded or can it be changed?

There is a config.xml file, where the users can specify a <SchedulesDirectURL> setting. The default value is:
Code:
http://webservices.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com/schedulesdirect/tvlistings/xtvdService

Hopefully Tribune will straighten it out on their end... or as a fall-back someone can confirm how to use some of the suggested work-arounds and give some "step-by-step" guide for us less technical folks. I went with GBPVR years ago because it offered great results "out-of-the-box" without having to play a lot of games or becoming an expert about transcoders, converters, XML, etc.

By the way, I was over on the SD forums and it appears that some non-GBPVR apps are also having problems...

Try using this URL
Code:
http://webservices.stage.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com/schedulesdirect/tvlistings/xtvdService"/>

(add stage after webservices)
That's the staging server. Once the problem is confirmed there, they'll try a fix there.

I added the following line to config.xml and tried an EPG update from SD for one of my lineups.

Code:
<SchedulesDirectURL>http://webservices.stage.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com/schedulesdirect/tvlistings/xtvdService</SchedulesDirectURL>

Still received the 505 error.

Did I do it right? If I did, looks like the problem exists on this server or whatever.

Try restarting the recording service and then doing an update, just in case.

That's to be expected. Tribune wanted to confirm the problem exists in staging before they try and fix it.

I added the same line as shown by Mikeh49 and restarted the recording service -- a subsequent EPG update gave me the same 505 error as before so presumably it interpreted the link correctly but is now going to the alternate URL. Hopefully this will give Tribune some additional data to munch on to try and find a fix.
