Wave - New skin for NPVR

Really awesome! The cover art for me isn't working.

Default skin:


Wave skin:


My directories are arranged with xml and jpg data with movie names e.g.

Blade Runner The Final Cut.mkv
Blade Runner The Final Cut.jpg
Blade Runner The Final Cut.xml

Is this useful in finding the problem, if you need anything, just ask!

I'm having problems with the Recordings screen with the latest update. I'm stuck in Ready Recordings and using the mouse and the remote to go to Pending only activates the top left (Back, View, Man-Rec). Switching back to default it works fine so it's only in Wave that I'm having this problem. I installed it on a second system and have the same problems.
Also, when in Videos and switching to different views, I get crashes almost every time I switch from one view to the next. Again, I can duplicate this in another system.

Just realized the same problem with changing 'View' in Music. Crashes.

Hi yes same for me, when I go to the wall view in videos or music the program 'hangs'. Also is it possible to increase the amount of text viewable when looking at the video description or is this limited by a field length in the internal NPVR database?

Could you make sure you are running the latest version on nPVR (v1.5.28) and update the Wave skin to it's latest version [08.08.10] posted in the second comment to this thread, and try again please.

If that doesn't help, could you delete the contents of your Thumbs directory (usually ...\Users\User Name\NPVR\Thumbs) and see if that helps.

Lastly could you try switching to the covers view and letting the files populate with art work and then switch back to list view to see if they show up.

This appear to be related to the activation area set aside, on screen, for the mouse to activate the button list + combined with where I have placed the button list. As a temporary measure I've moved the Selected List lower, below the activation area. Try the attached and see how you get on.

I think this must be related to the fact that I have the button list formatting localized in the global skin. So it would be a quirk in nPVR. Could you try the attached below (I've moved the button list formatting back to each individually skin xml). If that fixes it could you go back and recreate the problem and post some logs for sub in the pre-release area?

Could you ensure that you are using the updated version of Wave (from the second post). The icon view was only introduced in v1.5.28 and will need with extra formatting included in the latest skin update.

Where abouts exactly? There is a significant area set aside for descriptions in the videos plugin list view. Again this would be for the latest version of the Wave skin [08.08.10].

Thanks for this. I will try this when I get home. Due to summer storms, I haven't left my computers on during the day while at work and can't remote in so it'll have to wait until I get home.

I have an external program that I released in the community section (Netflix TX Viewer) and had a request from my users to make my program more NPVR like in the graphics. I really like the wave graphic and I was wondering if I could have your permission to use your skin for my default program background?

Firstly, yes, I have the latest versions of nPVR and Wave. I deleted the contents of Thumbs like you suggested. For me on Win 7, my nPVR contents are in /Users/Public *shurg*, if that matters.

Okay, here is what I've discovered: they do show up in Covers View, and once I scroll through the list, switch back to List view, they show up... but only the point up to where I scrolled in Cover View.

If I exit nPVR and relaunch, they no longer show up in List view. I have to view in Cover view again as described above. They DO appear to be getting cached in my formally empty Thumbs directory.

They also appear in the other view okay (is that Thumbs view?), just List view seems affected.
