Yep, it will display the latest recordings description and information when in folder mode. It sounds like you've made the edits, but the attached is a recordings2.xml with the preview formatting removed and the meta data always visible.

Thanks! Except for the removed line on the PreviewImage it is equal to my edited version.

hi hairy - i have 3 very minor cosmetic issues Big Grin
  • transparency on channel logos not working when viewing tv show details - as per screen shot 1
  • transparency on channel logos for currently highlighted recording is not working when viewing the system plugin - as per screen shot 2
  • the text for system status is too small - as per screen shot 2

EDIT: when the tuners are not active the text size on the system status screen is OK and looks to be the same size as the text SYSTEM STATUS

tv logo for testing in case you dont have a png that has transparency

Thanks for the screen shots.

The first two are left overs from development, I forgot to remove. Some of the channel icons here in Ireland are plain white with the channel logo in text (see attached). I was trying out a couple of things to try and make these types of images stand out from the default white selected background colour. I never even thought about curved icons, so it's probably good that you caught it Smile.

The third is a missing text reference (that small text you see is usually the app defaulting when I can't find a specific text).

Try the attached zip, hopefully that should sort it.

after applying the changes included in your post i get the following message when trying to open system

edit - works ok on the main system but not on the client - so no sure what the issue is there ?

Quote:See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Possibly a failure to talk to the recording service.
