Can GBPVR turn on the computer if it is off to do a schedueled recording? I want to record a show that will be airing the week before fathers day at 8 am eastern time but will be sleeping. Thanks.

Yes it can, put your machine into hibnerate mode and GBPVR will wake up and do the recording. I always keep my machine in hibernate and have not had problems with recordings. I use Windows XP, can't vouch for other platforms.

This may also work from suspend, but I don't use that mode,

Cheers,
Colin.

I use this from suspend to ram mode. No problems for now. Only time recordings seem to fail is just after an upgrade for gbpvr. One reboot and no problems anymore...

Hello,

Colin, what kind of recording do you use in combination of hibernate? Direct or via Wintvcap?

When I record via wintvcapstart(without gb-pvr) my pc starts automatic from hibernate to record but within GB-pvr it does not with wintvcap or direct.

Any clue?

Regards,
Jan.

I have come some further.

Wintvcapstart uses the Microsoft jt.exe which creates sheduler tasks.

What does GB-pvr use or Wintvcap?

It is working now  [Image: biggrin.gif]

I have removed the complete capturerecord in the configuration and put everything in again.

And now it works!

Great! This is what a PVR should be! Great work Sub!

Hey JanP,

glad to hear you got it working. I use the direct record feature in GBPVR. Have used it since about version 05 and it has always worked extremely well for meSmile

Sub has done an excellent job,

Colin.
