Newbie Help Please

I've just installed my Sapphire Theatrix and am trying to set up gbpvr on my system ,,one problem that i'm having is when i try to go to live tv i get this message "video is playing back using tv out press home to return to the menu ,,,,

i'm running xp pro sp2 with the above card and and sapphire 9200 video card ,,

Also it says that i need Lame mp3 for the Fm to work ,, is this correct??? I thought it would just pick it off the cable.

ps ,,what do you use to log onto the wiki site for the plugins??

you dont need to log on in the wiki to download plugins, you only need to login if you want to either upload a file or edit the wiki.

Thanks for the info on the wiki ,, i was just looking at the site and figured once i figure out how to use the program that i would like to d/l some of the plugins.

oh your problem is you selected a hardware decoder, under the playback tab in the config, select software playback. the only devices for hardware decoding are the 350 and the xcard, if your card supports hardware decoder acceleration (well whatever nvidia/ati call it), the software decoder will use it without gbpvr having to worry about it.

Okay ,, fixed that one ,,, got another error msg

"error: object reference not set to an instance of an object"

any suggestions ,,,pls

thats a generic error message. what are you doing when you get this error?
post your gbpvr.exe.log file aswell (its in the gbpvr root directory).

i get this error when trying to watch live tv ,, the log you requested when i try to copy and send it ,, the editor states that the message is to long and i have to trim it

I think the simplest way to fix your issue would probably be to delete and recreate your capture source. I'm not sure but isn't the theatrix a 550 clone?
If it is there's ample ATI theater Pro 550 documentation on here.
