Fatman_do, what you be hatin on rush for? you're bringin us down, man! Rush is hugely successful over a 40 year musical career, but they're sure as hell not mainstream.

Ooo, Triumph. They did some great songs too. I almost thought I was the only one remembering them...
I thought you were going to mention B.T.O., but then I checked and they were four. Thus disqualified for this thread. I even searched Wikipedia for "Canadian Rock" and got a long article on the subject. The first image shown was Paul Anka(!)

I still listen to some of their music but by Rush, Genesis, U2 and others, it's rather simplistic. I have all their albums too. There was a time that all our little garage band played for GFR.
You know that the bass player and drummer are still together in a not so great GFR band today!
