Is there anyway to adjust GBPVR so that it doesn't record the data line that is transmitted with a tv show. The line I'm talking about is the one that shows up at the top of a show, that is usually hidden because of overscanning. However, with GBPVR it records this line as well.

I know is some PVRs there is the ability to specify the offset for recording. When I recompress the recorded shows to Xvid, AutoGK correctly crops the picture, but I'd rather not have it there to begin with.

Its not possible to get Hauppauge PVR cards to recording a subset of the picture. It always records the whole picture, including the VBI lines. That said, you can adjust the zooming factor in the config.xml so that (just like your TV), this part of the picture is off the edge of the screen.

Hmmm...don't have a Wint TV card, as I'm using the Lifeview Walker Ultra for recording. It's not a super big deal to me though, as I can always just use AutoGK to recrop it if I have to. I know I never noticed it in any of the other PVR software that I used with the Win TV Go, and I don't see it when I use the Walker's native TV Software. Currently using the MPEG2 recording capability of the Walker, as the Audio doesn't encode at the right Audio hertz when using MPEG4 and the GBPVR. Figure you'll get to that whenever Lifeview finally sends you a Walker.

The data line thing isn't a huge deal as I can always adjust the over scanning on the player software I use to not have it show.

It arrived two days ago. The next is release is pretty much a done deal, so I wont be adding too much for the Walker, but I have at least removed the dependency on Intervideo WinDVD Creator (which ships with its Plextor cousin, but not the Walker). I have made a couple of other small improvements.
