How does Audio work on playback?

How does the audio feed work on playback? When I play a show that I recorded, sometimes (pretty intermitently), the audio goes out (maybe 10-30 seconds) and then it comes back. At that point, if I exit out of the movie and i'm on the main menu, even bleep bloop doesn't work.

When I play the mpg file that i recorded through windows media player, it's all fine, the audio doesn't go out.

Maybe someone can explain how audio works, so that I can figure out why this problem occurs for me...

Is there a different codec being used through GBPVR than media player?

No. If you left the 'Audio Decoder' setting to 'System Default', then it'll just use whatever WMP would use.
