Problem with the scheduler logic

Sub,

There are two shows on TV here in the US: NCIS, and NCIS: LA. When I set a recurring recording for NCIS, it also catches NCIS: LA. But it doesn't label it as NCIS: LA, it labels it as NCIS, which is incorrect because of the wrong show title and recording the wrong show.

If I recall correctly, this is a modification in the schedule logic that you introduced a while back to catch shows that change title from week to week. Can you give us an option to set titles to exact match in recurring recordings, or at least in config.xml?

There is a setting for this in the Settings screen in the next release.

Good. I think I mentioned it before, but I have the same problem with the show "V". Sometimes it records a show called "Vista LA", but groups it with the "V" recordings. What I don't quite get though is why it doesn't record every show that starts with "V"... why just "Vista LA"? Not that I want it to of course, that would be a disaster.

Although I might be in the bad books as one of those who requested this feature/bug that started in a version of GBPVR and as it seems to be/being addressed, would it be possible to set the matching on a 'per-season' basis rather than just as a big on/off switch.

Thinking on that - probably not, the matching logic would start getting a bit (more?) complex.

No chance. I dont want to make the scheduling popups more complicated with settings like this that 99% of people will never need to change. I knew someone would come back and ask for it though.
