PVR 150 Remote?

Hey fellas I love GBPVR, and no with the right amount of ram it runs BEAuTIFULLY simply aweosme! What i want to know is if i can reassign buttons on the remote that came with my PVR150 to do certain functions in GBPVR?
I know that the software bundle comes with IR blaster, but i dont know what that does, but cant get it to work. Any ideas? Or even possible?

you can reassign it so each button sends keystrokes to gbpvr like pressing "Previous Channel" sends {ctrl}y to gbpvr (which in live tv, switches between channels); but you cant assign "Videos" to jump you to "Video Library" or "Music" to the "music library" etc.  if you want ot reassign the buttons just to send the keycommands, which you can find out the keystrokes in the wiki for each plugin/feature. look in C:\windows\irremote.ini and at the bottom there should be a [gbvpr] tag with the commands for gbpvr and just change those, save the file (dah) and "restart ir" and you're cooking with gas.

OK cool, any idea what the remote works after i first boot up and then stops after a while... And now when i try to restart its says fail to initialize harware?

errr dont have a clue, if it happens after every reboot, and always stops working and not just a one off try upgrading to the latest ir drivers from shspvr.

sorry ive never run into this kinda of problem with my hauppauge remote.

I have the same problem with the 150 remote. After a reboot, it works fine. Unfortunately it stops working after a while. Could it be related to the computer screensaver?

This describes what I'm getting. Can someone revisit this problem? At first I installed the IR drivers from my CD, and then I tried installing the most recent drivers from Hauppages website, but still I'm having problems with the remote dying after a period of use.

Maybe I should uninstall IR completely and go with a fresh install.

Any insight? Thanks!

As suggested in a different thread, I need to update my PVR drivers, not just the IR drivers. I'm going to try this tonight and report back here.
