NPVR - Black screen and no sound on live view

back on square one on the Windows 7 system - unable to get more than 30 minutes of EPG.
HDHR tuners show different channels scanned : 0 shows 40 channels and 1 shows 37.
Updating EPG returns only 30 minutes of programing.

The XP system still showing black screen in live view.

I hope somebody can troubleshoot this nightmare.

For your Win7 machine - I would try switching your EPG data source to something other than the ATSC broadcast EPG. I use Schedules Direct and you should be able to set up the channels you need and map them to your ATSC channels. SchedulesDirect, in particular, has a lot higher quality level of EPG data (and for more than a few hours at a time). I know SchedulesDirect is intended to be serving up EPG data for cable channels, but for the local channels the EPG should be the same anyway. It's well worth the subscription fee.

about black screen problem - still no logs posted...

unable to send the nPVR log (renamed to.txt extension) and can't locate the SAF5 log file.
should i post here the complete nPVR log? I know that most of the forums don't like logs being posted in threads

grreat try , renaming to .jpg returned an error - not a valid jpg file.

SAF5 logs file are on your system root.

Zip it. Thats what everyone else does with logs. Dont rename it to .jpg - thats madness.

I wonder if this Nero Resize filter is the source of your problems? That said, I've never seen 'CyberLink SAC Video Decoder' in a log either, so couldnt vouch for that decoder.
