Hi, im having a problem with the livetv of digital channels.

I have a kworld ub430af (hybrid card) which has analogtv/composite input/dvb-t

I added a composite channel and around +20 dvb-t channels (scanned ok).

When i go to liveTV, ican watch the composite input ok, but if i switch to any of the dvb-t channels, the image is black and no sound, i can see the temp .ts file in the folder and i can even play it with wmp ok, so it should look like a decoder issue in nextpvr, but i cant find a way to solve it.

I tried several codecs with no luck, tried from network in other pc and no luck (same behavior), tried with different renders and all the same.

The codecs i have and tested are:
mpeg2:
ffdshow
dscaler
mainconcept mpeg
arcsoft
microsoft dtv-dvd
cbva dmo wrapper filter
sagetv mpeg2

h.264:
mainconcept
acrsoft
fddshow dxva
fddshow video
divx h.264
divx decoder
microsoft dtv-dvd

(also, which one of the two should be used for dvb-t and which one for composite?

I can see those channels with TotalMedia 3.5 and use it with no problem there, among other programs.

Using windows 7 x32.

Here is the log

Try the Cyberlink decoders, I beleive they come with CCCP (google, download and install) Wink

Uhm...

i just opened a ts file made by nexpvr while having this issue (went to the temp folder and copied the .ts file to other place), and by opening with npvr, it worked fine.

So...how come? reproducing the file standalone in pvr works but with live tv it doesnt?
using microsoft dtv-dvd codec

btw, i do hear the audio on livetv, so its reproducing it, it should indicate a codec issue but if it works by opening the file, doesnt it use the same config?

Might be a codec/renderer problem, what renderer are you using, and what windows?

Windows 7 x32, EVR Render, which works with everything else it seems (even playback).

Here is the log working with playback (saved live source) and not working with livetv on the same source (live)

the playback (working) loads this

2011-04-18 16:28:59.714 [DEBUG][1] StartLiveTV@6

Soemthing does look odd.

1st, shouldnt they use the same graph filter list?
2nd, why do i have codecs repeated in the livetv? maybe for changing them so much for the tests? but still, odd.

i have set in the config

--video
mpeg2video: arcsoft render
h.264: microsoft dvt-dvd video
--audio
mpeg1: microsoft dvt-dvd audio
ac3 audio: microsoft dvt-dvd audio
e-ac3 audio: arcsoft audio decoder
aac audio: microsoft dvt-dvd audio
he-acc audio: arcsoft audio decoder

which works pefrect with analogtv/composite and playback of digitaltv

Set the Audio Renderer to Default and only enable the Audio Codecs you need - probably no more than 2 depending on your TV Standards (set the others to disabled)

Use either FFDSHow or AC3 Filter for MPEG1 and AC3 or Monogram or DivX AAC for HE-AAC -- Do not use the Microsoft Codec it does not work in third party applications Sad
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

Yea, i guess that would be the best, but still, all those are working Tongue, mpeg1 works, audio works, only h264 doesnt work on livetv and still works on playback with microsoft codec

On the subject of CCCP decoders as far as I can see it only includes a full set of FFDSHOW decoders and an MPC MPEG2 decoder, but no Cyberlink.
