I am using a Hauppauge HVR-1950 capture card, but there are many options in NPVR, and I'm confused on what exactly I need to do to get it to work with my card.

analog or digital?

see the section in the sticky linked in my signature pertaining to analog devices. once you get past that, setting up an analog capture source is largely the same as GB-PVR.

I've checked out the sticky, and followed the steps, but there is still no analog option when I try to set up my card.

Start NextPVR, then visit the Settings -> Devices screen, then zip and attach the npvr.log and I'll take a look.
