On the HE-AAC dialog I don't get an MPC option. How do I get the MPC codec to appear in the HE-AAC dialog?

MPC audio decoder doesn't support HE-AAC. You need to use Monogram/Divx aac decoder for that.

Or - as i already wrote - install *unlocked* SAF6 and don't care about codecs anymore Smile

Cheers,

This is not SAF issue. The problem of runing NPVR on XP is that you need to use VMR9 to have DXVA on h.264 streams.
But VMR9 have bug that causing resize issue if source is interlaced.
You can use EVR renderer, but you will lose DXVA on h.264 = you will have 25fps instead of 50 (PAL) or 30 instead of 60 (NTSC), all decoding will be done by CPU instead of GPU and there will be only basic SW deinterlacing = useless for LiveTV...

Only solution for NPVR is to use Vista/Win7 or keep using GB-PVR + WinXP.

EDIT:
Here is screenshot of that bug (VMR 7/9 + DXVA + intrerlaced) :

So I went ahead and installed the Leadtek software and am now using all their codecs. But one thing hasn't changed - I don't get any volume on Livetv. Playback of pre-recorded content is fine, as is DVD playback, but Live tv has no sound.
I only have a stereo output (i.e. not surround). Could that be a factor?
I get sound and video on the Leadtek provided PVR software.
Thanks for all your help, BTW. It's been great.

Ta. I saw the bug. I found, though, when I flicked aspect ratios a couple of times it went away. I don't know if that's a fluke, but if it is a workaround I'm sure someone else has noticed it before.

So you have sound on live-tv now?

Sorry for the delay - went on holidays. Still no sound on livetv. Everything else seems to work perfectly and I can get sound when I use the pvr program provided by Leadtek. Any ideas?

If you record then watch your recodring - still no sound?
If no sound, can you share this small recording?

I recorded and then got sound, but the sync between the picture and sound is lost very quickly. I will make a small recording and share it tomorrow.

So I thought I'd best update to 2.1.5 as well. Now that I've done that, everytime I try to go to livetv I get 'Unable to connect to the recording service'. When I try to restart the recording service I get an error: Unable to start serve...... The specified service does not exist as an installed service.... and a whole heap more. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, but still the same. I've attached the log and a screen shot of the error message. Thanks in advance.
