Try running the installer as Administrator (right-click, select Run As Admin).

It looks like the service isnt installing for some reason. Maybe have a look in your Windows Event Viewer to check for any failure messages during install.

Or try starting a command prompt, changing to "C:\Program Files\NPVR" and running "NRecord.exe INSTALL".

Try it anyway, it does not help just to be logged on to an administrator account.

I tried all above to no avail. Having a browse through the logs, I noticed that NRecord.log keeps referencing C:\, but I don't have a C, my hard drive is H:\. Could this be part of the problem? More logs attached. I couldn't find any issues in event view. I had a look in services and there was no mention of NPVR. NRecord install off command prompt executes no worries, but nothing appears in services and the same errors reoccur.

Do you have one of these registry settings:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\npvr\DataDirectory
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\npvr\DataDirectory

I have the first one, but not the second. The setting on the first appears correct.

When I first did the update, many days ago now, I exited from NTray, but I didn't stop the recording service first. Could that have caused this? If that's the case, how do I fix it? Would a complete uninstall work? Is there a way to uninstall absolutely everything and then start over?
