Unable to find available capture device

Actually the updated file is about 19 hours newer than what is provided in the 2.1.5 installer. I checked this before adding it to the 2.1.5 patch list.

Do you have all the channels set up on all capture devices, and are the channels merged?

I have not merged the channels because I figured that would just cause more confusion at this point.

So I have duplicates of all the channels.
I can select ANY of those channels, and watch them.
But one set of those channels, I cannot record.

Does that make sense? Why would I be able to select & watch any of the channels, but not record it? Does "watch" just grab any tuner, while "record" is selective? That doesn't seem probable.

Both Tuners are setup with the exact same channel selections.

You should be able to record any of those channels, assuming there is a tuner available that has that channel. If thats not the case, reproduce the problem, and zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.


Just to be clear though, if you have two devices setup, with separate channels lists (ie each channel listed twice in the TV Guide), then you'll have one device that is capable of accessing half the channels, and the other capable of accessing the other half of the channels. So if one tuner was recording, and you wanted to watch live tv, you'd need to carefully exactly channel you tried to watch (because half would be unavailable). If you had merged the channels, or had accepted the apps offer to copy the channel setup (when you first setup the second device), then each channel would only have been listed once, and either device could be used for accessing any of the channels.

I merged several of the channels, and when I do that, the problem seems to go away. I can record any channels, move through channels, etc.
