When the system has both an HDHR and a 2650, the 2650 still shows up in the device list with 4 tuners - 2 with its correct device id and 2 with the device id of the HDHR.

Also, but unrelated, from the channel list right-clicking and selecting details does nothing. Clicking the details button works fine, but the context menu does nothing.

Finally, from the Bulk Map screen I'm unable to actually map a channel to my XMLTV source. I can select XMLTV but I can't actually do the channel mapping from here - no drop-down. It did used to work from here, right?

Yep, thats correct. It would be usable with your HDHR too, but I'd probably recommend sticking with original BDA) device instead. In a future I'll probaly filter out non-cablecard devices. I use a DVB-T version of the HDHR for testing some of this stuff.

I'm out for the next few hours, but I'll check these when I'm back.

If it's like the HDPVR and also my Network Tuner, I find it most logical to do the visual mapping in the Channels dialog and just keep the physical mapping on the device.

I'm not sure I understand. My HDHR is already listed properly as a device. Why would the HDHR device Id also be listed as a DCR-2650?

I have the standard HDHR.....but I now see entries for: HDHR DCR-2650 / HDHR Prime 101B02C7-0 on the same tuners there are labeled : QAM Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 101B02C7-0 Should I delete my QAM entries and rescan using the HDHR tunner entry? The QAM entries are my old entries with scanned channels. I have tried to disable the HDHR entries but the disabling does not appear to stick.

The HDHomeRuns can use the regular BDA interfaces that it always used (shows up as Type: ATSC or Type: QAM. This interface is recommeded) or the new interfaces that the Prime/DCR-2350 uses.

Enabled/Disabled doesn't matter if no channels are mapped. If no channels are mapped on the "Type: HDHR" capture source, NPVR will not attempt to use that interface and will use the "Type: QAM" if you have your channels mapped on it.

Thanks....I set them(HDHR entries) to disabled in the db....I assume that is ok as well?

Basically there is two different ways that HDHR can be used now (the existing method is via BDA drivers, the new method is via RTP/UTP). I'd just stick with the existing method you've been using up until now though unless you're doing CableCard stuff.

It incorrectly lists it as 'DCR-2650 / Prime', but this is only a minor cosmetic issue. It would work with your old-school HDHR. In future I'll try to report a real device name instead of always reporting 'DCR-2650 / Prime'.

I can confirm that I'm seeing the same behavior: disabling the new HDHR device for the old HDHR in the settings doesn't get saved. Hopefully it's a minor thing that sub can fix when he gets a chance.

If you dont setup any channels on these alternative HDHR device, then it wont use them.
