In Gppvr, I have No sound on some channels but if I surf up and down and back to channel it comes back. I have spent a week looking for a fix. Do you think its a manual tuning problem? I am in Canada. Hauppauge wintv-pvr-150

Many times when this has come up before it has been. There are some things you can try. If you use a cable splitter, try hooking up only your pvr-150 and see if it gets better.
Also, you can use the tuningsassistant to find the frequency you should use, try this thread:

If the splitter is the problem, you would have to get a signal booster of some kind.

There is also a 150 driver issue w/ flipping and losing sound. If you don't find it happening w/ recordings, too, then it's probably not it, though.

In such case you should be able to get it to work in GBPVR, too :-)

I am having the same problem (or similar at least) with my hauppauge pvr150. Most of my channels work fine, but a few specific channels need to be flipped off of and back to for the sound to work, and one or two channels won't play audio even after flipping multiple times.

I installed the tuning program and I really screwed it up. When I am in GBPVR It stays on one channel. I uninstalled GBPVR and tunning but still in Reg. I have gave up on GBPVR not to friendly on my computer. I will check back in 6 months. Life is too short, No more hair to pull out. Thanks all....robzee

I dont know what tuning program you're talking about. The Tuning Assistent included with GB-PVR doesnt change any registry settings, or any settings for that matter.

Anyway, good luck at your next stop.

Sub, any idea on what is going on as I have the same problem, but I love gbpvr and only one or two channels are affected by this problem. I tried to tuning assisant, but I couldn't figure out what to change in the config application.
