I tried searching if someone had posted this, but couldn't figure out what search term to use, so I apologize if this has been asked.

Has anyone ever notice that if you're in TV Guide... press say 5, 7, OK it will go to channel 57 in the TV Guide, but if you were to enter a lower number channel, say 8, OK, it will go to the channel but the enitre schedule wouldn't go there.

However, at the bottom of the screen you get the information about what is showing on channel 8reen. And when you move left and right the schedule will shift, but will shift and show what's on the channels around 57.

Exiting and re-entering the TV Guide doesn't fix the problem either. You're still stuck on channel 57 listings, and channel 8 info at the bottom.

But, if you enter say 5,8, OK for channel 58 you actually go to channel 58 in the TV Guide. So, what i have done is enter channel 72 (the last channel in my guide) then move down to channel 2, then from there I can go to whatever channel I want that's less than say, 57 if that was were I started.

I wish i was more concise, but oh well, hopefully everyone understands what I'm trying to describe.

Hehe, I didn't even know you could do that. But then I only have 7 channels in my EPG :-)

 only 7?! Do they fit all on one screen? If not you can give it a try and let me know if you get the same thing.

Yep, 7. They fit on one screen. Exactly. I get a few more, but none that I'm interested in (like, why would anyone want to record anything from MTV? ;-)). I'm about to add my digital cable channels as well, but I don't have an ir blaster yet, and I barely watch any of those, so I haven't gotten around yet. Don't have many channels from digital cable anyway (you'd never believe the cost for them here ;-). My daughter watches Nickelodeon, but we rarely feel the urge to record anything off that channel.

Whoa, I didn't know you could do that. Way too cool!

By the way, it works perfectly on my MVP! I punch in 57, it jumps straight to chanel 57. I punch '8' and OK, and the guide jumps to 8 at the top, with chanels 9,10,11, and so on right beneath it (just as I would expect).

Sorry I couldn't recreate your problem. I'm running 92.11, if it makes any difference.

Good luck!

Hmm I don't have MVP, maybe this isn't a problem when you're using MVP...?

Sorry, I guess I should have clarified. It also works perfectly on my server as well. As I mentioned, I'm running 92.11. Also, I am using a 34 button remote for my hauppauge 350 at the server, while I'm using the new remote (45 buttons) on the MVP.

Just in case it makes any difference, I "trained" GB-PVR to use the 34 button remote by selecting the "fix Huappauge remote settings" option in the config program. I didn't try this before, so I can't tell you if this fact made any difference, but it all works perfectly for me now.

Since I'm not having your problem, I can't begin to know what may be causing it for you. If you haven't tried the "fix" option for the remote, you might give that a try. Otherwise, I'm at a loss.

Good luck!

Hey Kevina,

I'm running .92.11 as well. I have the PVR USB2 with the 34 button remote. Hmm, my remote works fine, all the buttons do what they're suppose to do.

Thanks for letting me know that this function does work properly, though. Something must be wrong with my setup somewhere.

Maybe the problem will go away over time with subsequent upgrades.

Yes I have seen this exact same issue. I use the MVP with the 45 button remote. Like you said, the problem only happens when going from a higher channel to a lower channel. The thing is, it doesn't happen all the time, just some times.

To fix it I do just like you said and enter in the highest channel in my EPG which rolls it over so I can get to channel 2.

I'm using the dongle that came with GBPVR 92.11, just in case you are using a different version. I've heard that other (newer) versions of the dongle can be flakey at times.

Also, I do not have the Hauppauge MVP software even installed on my server. I don't know if that could have an effect, but thought it worth mentioning.
