Does anyone know why:
GBPVR hung when trying to cancel a scheduled show?

In the past, I was able to cancel a scheduled show no problem, but for some strange reason, recently, everytime I try to cancel a scheduled one, it hangs on me.....and I had to force to close the GBPVR application and restart.....

Help

BTW, how do I know what version of GBPVR software do I have?

So far, everytime I try to cancel a show, I to go Recordings and hit cancel.
In the past, I had no problem with it...but, recently.....don't know what I've done to it....
(I have never tried to cancel using XRecord button though)

I will check the logs.....^_^

Thanks

tipstir Wrote:Check you logs GBPVR.exe and GBPVRRecordings.exe to see what's happening. To cancel a show go into Recordings and hit cancel, if you're using XRecord then try to force it with cancel. If it hangs, then there is a problem on your PC side.

??? How do I check that? (where and what directory, what filename?)
not a computer expert......:-(
Help

BTW, I think if I leave it alone for a while (10-30 min) it will come back ok......what seems to be slowing down the process......In the past, cancelling shows for me were like 3 sec job.

tipstir Wrote:Also check Windows 2000/XP Event Viewer Application Logs to see if there was a problem with Windows at the same time you were trying to cancel out.

I just turned on comp this morning.....

when I went to eventvwr.msc I do see a few of x red and yellow...and some of them were gbpvr hung.... (what do I do with those?)

In terms of my cpu, it said it's using about 23-40% right now ( I am recording show now)

I guess next I will have to do are:
1) Delete temp files
2) defrag HDD

Thanks tipstir for your help

It is a problem related to Xrecord. I have had the same issue since I installed XRecord. Whne I reinstalled without XRecord, the problem went away.
