I fitted a Nova-T a couple of weeks ago and I am starting to see random crashes of the recording service. It allways says that the fualting module MpgMux.ax. This is of course the Cyberlink mux for the nova-t. It crashes when its about to start recording (scheduled). The PVR 150 and 350 cards are fine. The recording is 0KB. I have set the service to restart automagicly although this does not seem to make any difference.

Anyone seen this?

Certainly have - seems worse with the latest GBPVR than the previous one. With the previous version, after crashing, restarting the recording service would fix things and the recording would happen successfully. How do you get it to automatically restart after crashing?

This problem has caused me one 0Kb recording too many, and I'm now checking out mediaportal instead.

The Cyberlink mux is v5.0.0.727. To restart the service automagicly go into services > pickout the gbpvr recording service click on the recovery tab. Just set it to what you want. Reboot, restart etc. I have set mine to restart and it does restart the service but the recording is still 0KB. If I click on the systray gbpvr icon it shows that the show is recording. However looking in the directory its still 0KB. If I click on the gbpvr icon and chose "restart recording service" the file starts to grow. Otherwise its 0KB.

I was getting 0kb recordings all the time & was tearing my hair out Sad

I think I cured it but going back to mpgmux.ax 4.0.0.2122 - I havent had a 0kb for over 2 weeks, its all working perfectly. I'm also using Hauppauge v2 drivers (90002)

I am also getting random crashes with version 4.0.0.1313.
I tried setting the service to automatically restart but it kept starting additional MVP Servers each time (ended up with 8 and only have 2 MVP's!).
It would be interested to know which is the most stable version.

Where did you get these different versions of mpgmux? Tried searching google and no joy.

Had the same problem using the cyberlink mux. After changing to showshifter mux I have not had any crash. Have recorded 20-30 shows after that with no error. Before I had one crash per 2-3 recordings.
