My monitor is 16:10 1680x1050 and I do get the mini letterboxing with NPVR as I'd expect.

What do you guys have in NPVR settings? Here is a screen shot of mine.

That image may be hard to read. It is all the default settings except for the TV Shape which I changed to 16:10.

Sub? Is there anything that can be done to get rid of this error? It's very annoying.

I noted it down to investigate, but I've been pretty busy with day job stuff the last week or so and havent found the time yet.

Any chance this issue has been corrected in the upcoming version?

Its not far to the next release. I'll try to take a look if I find time. Not sure if itll happen though at this late stage.

BTJustice Wrote:In NPVR, it doesn't matter if I select 16:9 or 16:10 in SETTINGS. I never have the black bars as described above and things are not the correct height. They are too narrow and tall. Is 16:10 not working in NPVR?It is working without any problem, but it seems to depend of the used videodecoder. If i am using ffdshow, then all the aspect ratios are fine, even if i am running the "auto" mode. As i had experimented with **** codec package, i had a few ... problems. Even with the aspect ratio, it just was often wrong. Perhaps you could play around with other decoders? If nothing else helps, you could try to switch the resolution of your display to an 16:9 format while watching videos. Hopefully your graphicscard driver is smart enough not too stretch the video/picture and respect the original aspect ratio. You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

The only video decoders I have are...
MPEG2 Video: ArcSoft Video Decoder MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Decoder Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder H.264 Video ArcSoft Video Decoder MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Decoder None of them seem to correct the issue. |
